In April, Mingchuan Architecture conducted on-site teaching in Lisbon and traveled to Portugal. The teacher, Xu Mingsong, led the team to visit the space surrounding the Carmo Monastery, renovated by the architect Alvaro Siza. I took a ride on the late 19th-century Neo-Gothic St. Jus Elevator, and, of course, I also visited the Belém Cultural Center designed by V. Gregotti. One day, I also visited the Alcobaça Monastery, a World Heritage Site located an hour’s drive north of Lisbon. I explored the museum designed by architect Souto de Moura, who also won the Pritzker Architecture Prize for this building.
After reading the itinerary, I really want to go together.
